Individual users

The consumer product creates the first-party taste graph that every other surface depends on. The app must be useful even if the user never pays, but the best memory, analytics, and agent functions should sit behind simple upgrade paths.

Core jobs

  • Remember what I own.
  • Remember what I wore, when, why, and how it felt.
  • Help me decide what to wear today.
  • Help me buy less badly by comparing wishlist ideas to my actual taste.
  • Help me gift without guessing.
  • Help me share my collection without turning Sniffopotamus into a generic social network.

Subscription ladder

TierBuyerUnlocks
FreeCasual usersSmall cabinet, limited wear logs, basic search, limited share cards
CollectorEnthusiastsUnlimited cabinet and wears, analytics, Oracle queries, Fragrance Wrapped
PowerDaily loggersWishlist ranking, couple linking, cost-per-wear, travel packing assistant
ConnoisseurCreators and resellersPublic profile, creator page, advanced cards, priority corpus contributions

The app should always make the upgrade feel like more memory and better decision support, not punishment.

Data created

  • Cabinet ownership.
  • Wear logs and context.
  • Wishlist, grail, and declutter signals.
  • Private notes and partner-safe notes.
  • Share-card exports.
  • Country and brand affinity.
  • Note-family preference and avoidance.

This data is private at user level. Commercial dashboards can only use aggregated, anonymised, thresholded signals.

Product principles

  • The AI starts from the user's own history before generic advice.
  • Low-confidence fragrance matching asks a clarifying question.
  • Destructive actions need confirmation.
  • Social features stay output-oriented: cards, profiles, creator pages, and referral links.
  • Affiliate and sponsored surfaces are contextual and labelled.
