Connect AI clients with MCP
Sniffopotamus exposes MCP at:
https://www.sniffopotamus.com/mcp
Use the /mcp URL for new clients. /api/mcp and /api/mcp/v2 exist for
technical compatibility.
What MCP can do
Depending on your plan and scopes, an AI client can:
- Read your cabinet.
- Suggest what to wear.
- Search fragrance records.
- Add to wishlist.
- Log a wear.
- Generate share cards.
- Use corpus search and fuzzy matching.
Safety rules
- Start with read-only scopes.
- Add write scopes only when you trust the client.
- Review approval prompts before writes.
- Revoke access if a client behaves unexpectedly.
- Never paste private tokens into public chats or shared repositories.

Troubleshooting
If a client cannot connect:
- Confirm the server URL is exactly
https://www.sniffopotamus.com/mcp. - Sign in to Sniffopotamus in the browser when OAuth opens.
- Check that your plan includes the needed scope.
- Try read-only tools before write tools.
- Reconnect the client if your billing or permissions changed.
