Checking a fragrance listing

Open Rot or Not when you want help deciding what to check about a fragrance listing or bottle.

It is a guide to the purchase context, not authentication. No software can prove that a bottle is real. A lot number or a matching box code is not proof on its own.

Give the details you know

Choose the item type and where it is offered. Enter the brand, perfume and strength, then the bottle and box codes if you have them. Describe the box, cap and seal where you can check them. Leave uncertain details unknown rather than guessing.

Select Run Rot or Not to see the breakdown. Read the explanation and the checks together with the result.

Read the result

The breakdown explains what raises concern, what information is missing and what to check in hand. Missing information does not mean a bottle is genuine or fake. A result that cannot tell you enough should not be treated as a clear result.

The same limits apply when the breakdown appears inside another website: it is a guide to your own decision, not a certificate, valuation or guarantee.

Privacy and support

Read the privacy and support guide for the app's policy and contact options. If you need to correct the perfume record, give the source of the correction rather than treating a listing-risk result as catalogue evidence.
