Your private Formula Vault

The Formula Vault is a private bench record, not a public perfume card. Its current route runs only on a supported local host; it is not available through the public website. Private controls stay closed until a local tester build is controlled by its dedicated offline worker. Development mode cannot open private records.

Your records stay with you

Stock, formulas, formula revisions and trials are encrypted in this browser's local storage database. The passphrase unlocks the records locally. Sniffopotamus does not collect your formula, material quantities, inventory or bench notes into its servers, catalogue, chat, MCP tools or hosted AI.

On a prepared local tester, use Create encrypted Vault for new records or Unlock locally for an existing Vault. Keep the passphrase safe: Sniffopotamus cannot reset it or recover records lost when the browser's storage is erased.

Work and return

Record stock under Stock, keep formula revisions under Formulas, and record observations under Trials. Saving a new revision keeps earlier revisions. Lock Vault closes private working state; an unavailable offline worker leaves records closed.

Keep an encrypted export as your own backup. An import requires its passphrase and explicit replacement confirmation when records already exist. You control that encrypted archive; the help site does not upload it or open it.

Public perfume work is separate

The planned maker workflow describes a finished perfume's public notes and words. A public note pyramid is not a formula or a material quantity. No public maker page, business key or catalogue submission grants access to private Vault records. This Vault is a record of your work and observations, not a safety or compliance assessment.
